Apprenticeships at Law Salons
Law Salons offers a work-based training program designed to give you the highest quality skills in all aspects of hairdressing.
Available to any learner over the age of 16, you will learn all the skills, knowledge, and behaviours you need to be a successful member of the salon team and to develop a successful career. On completion, you will receive a government and employer-recognised debt-free qualification.
An apprenticeship will last 15 – 18 months on average during which time you will be earning an apprenticeship wage while learning your skills. You will be employed in a salon for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be entitled to all the benefits of your qualified colleagues.
A 1st year apprentice hairdresser typically performs tasks such as shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying hair, as well as assisting senior hairdressers with cutting, colouring, and styling. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the salon, interacting with clients, and learning basic hairdressing techniques and safety procedures. Throughout your apprenticeship, you are expected to develop your skills and knowledge through hands-on experience and training under the guidance of senior hairdressers.

At the end of your training you will gain a UK Government approved Apprenticeship qualification and a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
