Foil Highlighting is the process of taking precisely woven sections of hair, applying the lightening product and placing into foil to develop to the required shade.

As a L’Oreal Colour Specialist salon we only use the very best L’Oreal lightening products. The Platinium range we use in our foil highlights. Platinium Ammonia Free and Platinium Plus are L’Oreal’s most luxurious lightening pastes. Platinium Ammonia Free is perfectly suited for fine hair; while Platinium Plus is more suited to thick hair, in particular darker or difficult to lighten hair. The lightening paste is enriched with Nutricerides and White Beeswax and provides a softening effect with up to 7 levels of lift without the use of ammonia. The enriched lightening paste helps to smooth and soften the hair fibre for beautiful condition. So if you are looking for classic highlights or lowlights - whichever you choose, you’ll get nothing but our best from our professional in-salon highlighting systems. Whether it is a touch of sun- kissed hair effect or a bolder blonde bombshell, discover your perfect highlighted hair shade today with the help of your colourist.

Full Head Highlights involve highlighting hair in every section of your head. This could be slightly lightening all of your hair or for something more dramatic, such as going from brunette to blonde. They offer a more dramatic look, as they wrap all around the head.

Balyage – Is a blonde colour technique to boost your hair's natural reflects. A French word meaning to sweep or to paint. 'It's a freehand hair colouring technique that gives a really blended natural look with no harsh or obvious regrowth lines. A Full Head Balayage service involves hand-painted high or low lights throughout your entire head.

Partial balayage uses the same hand-painted highlighting technique but involves painting highlights onto one area of your hair, rather than throughout your hair. Typically, partial highlights are placed around the face or on the top layer of your hair with a focus on the ends. The is an ideal option for those who want to add subtle definition to their strands.

Foilyage comes from combining traditional foils and balayage effect. Traditional foils are done in a pattern throughout the client’s head, resulting in a more consistent look. Balayage is hand-painted highlights, resulting in a more natural, sun-kissed look. However, a lot of times balayage won’t get as blonde as traditional foils. The foilyage method helps give clients the best of both worlds by combining the two techniques. It’s perfect for women who want those lighter blonde pieces throughout their hair while still having a natural, lived-in look.

T-section highlights are highlights that highlight the hairs in approximately 1/4th of the head, specifically in the top and crown area.

This is generally advised for those who don't want to overdo it with the highlighting, who have highlights but simply want to cover the new growth, or who simply want to add a little spark and pizzazz to their hair for special occasions.

Creative Foil Placement / foil

Price on consultation

A similar technique to highlighting, but this can range from a few subtle weaves carefully placed or bold panels to accentuate your style. Babylights are very natural looking highlights, designed to mimic the sun kissed tones your hair may have had as a child. The majority of your hair retains its natural colour with just a few light and bright accents scattered throughout.

Contouring

Price on consultation

Inspired by the make-up trend, hair contouring is a custom-made colour application technique that has revolutionised the use of hair colour and what it can achieve. This innovative technique uses the careful placement of colours around the face and, thanks to a play of light and shadow, can alter the appearance of your face shape by accentuating your best features and enhancing your natural skin tone without the application of make-up.

Hair contouring is a colouring technique that uses a combination of free hand application and highlighting paired with the careful positioning of different tones and depths around the face to highlight and shadow targeted areas. Darker tones create shadows and are used to shorten or narrow the face shape, whilst lighter tones elongate and lengthen the face shape by reflecting light. This clever placement of colour and the careful selection of complimentary tones perform an optical illusion and make your face appear more defined and features more accentuated.

Toner

A hair toner helps your colourist to personalise your colour. It is used to add natural or more visible tones after a professional colour treatment. As a result, it enhances the tonality of your hair by creating a professional finished look. Mostly used for shades of blonde hair, it can be beneficial for brunettes and redheads too. In order for toner to work, hair has to be bleached or dyed first. The process can be complex. So if done incorrectly, it can lead to undesirable results. But rest assured, at Law Salons our Certified Colourists and Colour Specialists will ensure the very best result.

Bespoke Freehand (Balayage/Ombre)

Balyage / Ombre: One of the most common misunderstandings when it comes to colouring techniques is the difference between ombre hair and balayage. Ombré is a colour technique of seamless graduation from darker to lighter, whereas balayage is a highlighting technique.

Balyage: Is a blonde colour technique to boost your hair's natural reflects, the balayage technique has quickly become today's most requested in salon colour service. A French word meaning to sweep or to paint. 'It's a freehand hair colouring technique that gives a really blended natural look with no harsh or obvious regrowth lines.

Ombré: Meaning ‘Shaded’ in French, is the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. Ombré describes a hair colouring technique where a darker base colour is gradually lightened along the lengths, usually starting around mid-way, giving a ‘sun kissed’ effect.

Colour Correction / Change

Price on consultation

Colour Correction: Colour correction refers to a set of techniques that uses the basis of colour theory to 'correct' unwanted colours or enhance original colours. It’s no longer simply about fixing a colour that has gone wrong, it’s also about reviving hair that’s dull and uniform, and giving it a new radiance with touches of shine and light; the same way a make-up artist can make a woman’s skin tone appear more beautiful.
However it’s not uncommon for clients to come to us after a “colour disaster” either at home or at another salon. But don’t despair – our Colour Specialists have the skills and experience to help. If you have had a colour disaster make an appointment for a free Colour Consultation and we will be able to put together a plan on how to put things right.

Colour Change: Changing your overall hair colour tone can be a difficult decision, whether to go a warm brunette colour or a copper red, we can advise you on a hair colour that will suit your daily life. Choose from a wide range of hair shades and tone. At Law salons our Colour Specialists and Certified Colourists will give you honest professional advice. So If you want a small colour update or a totally refreshed look, our team can talk you through the colour change steps and maintenance you need to undertake in order to achieve a style and hair colour that’s rights for you.

Balmain Hair Extensions

Balmain Hair Extensions

The history of Balmain Hair Professional dates back to the 1960s, a roaring decade in which wigs became an integral part of daily life. The French fashion designer Pierre Balmain, founder of the Balmain Paris fashion house, admired the idea of wigs being a part of a woman’s total outfit and elected Dick Guliker, a Dutch wigmaker, to represent the brand’s hair fashion collection.

When wigs slowly run out of fashion and the popularity of wefts increased, Balmain Professional used its professionalism in the field of wig design to create a revolutionary new weft extension system. Balmain human hair extensions are considered some of the best in the world.

The different collections of hair extensions and fixing systems are designed by the professionals of Balmain Hair Professional and stand for high quality and great wearing comfort. The collections consist different types of hair extensions with a wide range of colours and lengths. The wide range of hair extensions is able to fulfill every wish for hair extensions.
