Colour Health and Safety

Skin Sensitivity Testing

First the health and safety bit.. If you have never visited Law salons, had your hair coloured elsewhere or it has been over 6 months since we last coloured your hair then we must carry out a 48hr Skin Sensitivity Test (often referred to as a Patch Test) before any colour service can be done.

This test is to protect you, as any reaction is not good, but could be severe or even fatal.  Please be aware that this is a legal requirement and all reputable salons will require this. Beware of any that don’t.

Allergies can range from itching, rashes, swelling and breathing difficulties and can be severe; with some people suffering from allergic reactions being hospitalised and receiving intensive care.

Age Restriction

EU Regulation states that all hair colour (Permanent, Semi Permanent or Temporary) must carry a warning that “This product is not intended for use on persons under the age of 16”. UK regulatory bodies and insurers uphold this regulation and as a professional salon so do we.  Always beware of any salon that does not check the age of the client.
